What is Autism

Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition which affects how people communicate and interact with the world. Autism is considered a spectrum disorder because it affects people in different and varying ways. Instead of people with autism showing a single set of symptoms, they present a broad range of symptoms [social communication difficulties, repetitive behaviours, and sensory sensitivities] which vary in types and severity. Therefore, each person with autism has a unique experience.
